Karnataka: The undisputed services-export leader

Karnataka leads the service export landscape, accounting for US $85 billion, mainly owing to Bengaluru, the very hub of IT in India. This status from a strong ecosystem of tech majors, startups, and global delivery centers has helped it maintain a big weight.

Maharashtra and Telangana

Maharashtra comes second with US $65 billion, perhaps on the back of financial services from Mumbai, IT parks from Pune, and business services.

Telangana follows one step behind with US $42 billion, Hyderabad double-upping as a global tech-and-innovations hub. The rapid rise of Telangana speaks volumes about its investor-friendly policies and thriving tech talent.

Tamil Nadu and Haryana

Tamil Nadu and Haryana have establishments in strong technology and service base with US$35 billion, Tamil Nadu asserts the presence of a diversified service economy, which ranges from IT and BPO hubs in Chennai to engineering and design services.

Haryana, contributing around US$23 billion, is largely a testament to the growth of the NCR region, with Gurugram housing corporate hubs for business services.

Uttar Pradesh and Delhi: Expanding the Horizon

With a surprising sixth rank, Uttar Pradesh generates US$15 billion, emblematic of the growth in IT service hubs around Noida and Lucknow.

Delhi, contributing US$12 billion, perfects the position of the national capital in consultancy, legal, media, and financial services.

Southern and Western States Dominate

With states like West Bengal (US$9 billion), Gujarat (US$8 billion), and Kerala (US$7 billion), it is evident that service export is no more restricted to the traditional IT hubs: a sign of geographic diversification in India’s services sector.

Low Exporters & Future Potential

Most northeastern states, along with smaller Union Territories such as Lakshadweep (US $0.005 billion), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Ladakh, have small contributions. This indicates investment opportunities for digital disbursement and talent upskilling for preparing this region for growth.

Key Takeaway

With Karnataka and Maharashtra continuing to remain the lead in service exports from India, the upsurge of Telangana and Uttar Pradesh hints at a disperse service boom all over India. As a plus, a diversified structure has its benefits-it uses balanced regional development to help new spots, innovation, and opportunity.
